Hi, I’ll be covering the lower English Leagues for you, looking for those games offering something a little different to what you might normally be betting.

You won’t find these games at all sexy but once the season is in full swing they will offer up proper betting opportunities in all manner of ways. I like to look for things like games in which both sides will score, or those where a good few goals will be scored and I’ll eventually work a wide variety of bets into the predictions.

Like everyone else doing football betting, it’s selections based on mathematical analysis and the beauty of this is that everyone looks at things from a different angle, so even working with the same information, we might come up with a different outcome.

The new season is still raw and we have very little to work with at the moment but I have two games I like the look of. Until we find teams bedding in it will be best to paper trade for a couple of weeks yet.

I will be quoting Betfair prices but shop around, you might find fractions in other places.

Fleetwood v Wimbledon

Fleetwood Town’s Highbury Stadium

Fleetwood Town and AFC Wimbledon go head to head in the EFL League One. The last meeting ended in a 0-0 draw.

These two teams have met nine times in the last several seasons based on the data that I have. Out of those nine previous meetings, Fleetwood Town have won five, while AFC Wimbledon won two. Two matches between them have ended in a draw.

Fleetwood Town are in excellent home form, scoring goals and even put two past Everton on Wednesday night, while AFC Wimbledon are performing well away, netting seven in the last five away games and failing to score only once.

Previous matches between Fleetwood Town and AFC Wimbledon have averaged 2.44 goals while BTTS (both teams to score), has happened 44% of the time.

So far this season in the EFL League One, Fleetwood Town have averaged three points per game at home, and AFC Wimbledon one point per game away but this is all based on limited data produced by just two games so far.

As we get deeper into the season these matches will become easier to predict and I will be able to introduce more angles into a game, like corners and cards.

Bet both teams to score @ 1.81 and over 2.5 goals @ 1.8

Swindon Town v Burton Albion

The Don Rogers Stand at Swindon’s County Ground

Swindon Town play Burton Albion on Saturday and the last meeting ended with Swindon Town losing 0-1 to this weekends opponents.

These teams have met twice in the last few seasons according to my stats databases and Burton Albion have won both.

Swindon Town are in decent nick at home, while Burton Albion are performing average away.

Both games between Swindon Town and Burton Albion have averaged one goal, while BTTS (both teams scoring), has not yet happened.

As I said earlier it’s still early in the season and the data is thin but from what I’ve seen so far, I am happy with my predictions for both matches.

Bet both teams to score @ 1.68 and over 2.5 goals @ 1.92

I will be looking at games being played in midweek for you and we will get a message out to you letting you know it’s up.
