21 races, three meetings and a great day of racing!

Some superb results from the work produced yesterday and I’d be hopeful we’ll see more of the same today. The last two Saturdays have been brilliant for Post Racing subscribed members and we do have a Weekend Club membership that costs just £3. You receive my work for both Saturday and Sunday plus, when we have one, Bank Holiday Monday.

It is the best value in racing, I promise you.

I will start with Haydock

12-55 – The market has come big time for LADY HAYES – 5/6 > 8/13 and had been advised earlier to my members as 5/6 > 8/11….probably them going in strong!

1-30 – The two at the head of the market are weak, MILITARY MISSION 9/4 > 11/4 and DUBAI HONOUR 9/4 > 7/2. SALIGO BAY is a solid 4/1 and third favourite with OMAN 6/1 > 9/2 and BERTIE’S WISH 8/1 > 6/1 both being nibbled at.

I’m not seeing anything I’d punt.

2-05 – One taken out here and all I’m seeing is market adjustments. It’s one of those end of season handicaps which sees tired horses going again and anything could happen. I’d suggest playing my figures, if you must play.

MILLTOWN STAR was the OMM advised this morning and that move continues, the 12/1 > 8/1 is now 12/1 > 6/1 and looking through the card and what is happening out there, I’m of a mind someone believes Graham Lee is going to have a fine old time of it.

2-40 – My next rated race comes at 2-40pm and it was another graham Lee ride attracting the money overnight, MID WINSTER 12/1 > 13/2….now third favourite @ 6/1. My top two rated horses are not weak though and occupy the head of the betting….the numbers, look/feel right.

3-10 – Another decent race, that I’d have felt very confident in playing mid June / July….but it’s the end of September and these horses have been on the go for eight months now and most will run like they need a break. The market is weak, nothing is being supported and it’s one I’d just watch.

3-45 – The return of Goshen and we all know how good he looked over timber last season. This will be his “tube clearer” for another hurdling campaign and the market says he’s a certainty. I am seeing place money for HOCHFELD – 14/1 > 8/1 but another I’d prefer to just watch.

4-15 – My figures suggest DOUBLING DICE is nailed on here. I’m also very aware the trainer/jockey combo are 5-5 in the last five seasons, when teaming up at Haydock.

We’ve seen four pulled out since I sent my figures to my members and since then the market appears to have the CSF sorted out….DOUBLING DICE / CARLOS FELIX, who was 15/2, now just 11/4…..despite fluctuations and adjustments.

1-15 – They go 5/1 the field here, everything is weak and if I had to play I’d most likely have a small place punt QUILTED, who fitted into the New Edge Box this morning.

For the thoughts of the “experts” at Post Racing, regarding the juvenile Group races at 1-50pm, 2-25pm, and 3-00pm, please visit the Post Racing Podcast.

The Cambridgeshire at 3-35pm and a host are being punted for this event. You either trust to Post Racing Ratings or Post Racing Profiling.

4-10 – A Nursery at 4-10pm and several are seeing money….perhaps the strongest being MEU AMOR, who is now clear favourite @ 11/4, having been 4/1. Not a race I’d be overly involved in.

4-40 – It’s just another of those end of season handicaps that might, or might not, run to form…or Ratings. It wouldn’t surprise me if a 3-y-o won it….and it wouldn’t surprise me one didn’t. My figures look solid and I’d not be surprised to see them produce a trifecta….but I’d also be surprised if they did. These races are simply conundrums now.

2-20 – One of HEY MR or TWILIGHT HEIR wins this….5/4, 11/8 respectively, 7/1 bar and the lot of them behind that front two are very weak.

2-55 – SURPRISE PICTURE is being heavily supported in the Nursery at 2-55pm….10/3 > 2/1 but SIBAAQ isn’t weak, a solid 3/1 all morning. The rest are drifting and it looks a two horse dutch for profit.

3-30 – EY UP ITS MICK – 4/1 |> 5/2….that’s the one for money! CANFORD BAY 6/1 > 4/1 is also being tickled but this looked a seriously tricky race this morning as they went 4/1 the field at one point….and we only have six runners! One to watch only.

4-05 – No different at all to that race before it….seriously competitive, the market could get a handle on it, they all traded within a few points of each other and right now it is the morning outsider being backed….not for me….APLOMB 9/2 > 11/4, BROKEN SPEAR 11/1 > 7/1, ABEL HANDY 10/3 > 11/2, BOSSIPOP 10/3 > 15/2….welcome to the last weekend of September!

4-35 – The markets at this meeting are very nearly turning themselves on their heads but there is strong support here for the 3-y-o STAWBERRY ROCK, who was impossible to produce a for off the back of just two runs and rated 7th best on my numbers….trust the market would be my advice here.

5-10 – Dascombe and Kingscote landed a gamble with a juvenile yesterday and if the market is right, they are looking to do it again here with a once raced 3-y-o….SHE’S ALL IN GOLD has been smashed in from 8/1 > 3/1 and all bar the favourite is on the drift.

5-40 – A Class 5 Apprentice Handicap and I’m seeing the following:

  • MARK’S CHOICE – 8/1 > 9/2
  • RASHEEQ – 12/1 > 17/2

Guts are saying it’s a “proper” punt on the new favourite, whilst place punters are looking to that other one.

Busy day….enjoy and, good luck!
