Just Hexham covered today

I had every intention of providing you with all the movers and shakers from Fontwell but, given the weather forecast and impending arrival of Storm Alex, it is best to simply work with a meeting we know will be safe from all of the mayhem. Although, fair to say, those looking at that meeting do seem to think LORD BADDESLEY is a good thing in the 12-30pm….betting on an early race might be fine and this one was advised to Post Racing Subscribed members this morning 6/1 > 11/4….you will not get 2/1 now.

1-15….My first rated race and the market is extremely strong with regards MILLIE OF MAYO 9/4 > 5/4 with BALLYMILAN 9/1 > 11/2 and the rest being left to fend for themselves, including my top rated REDBRIDGE GOLD, who is 7/1 > 9/1.

METHAG, 22/1 > 12/1 is interesting place players but it would appear the Richards trained runner is likely to make it 4-4.

1-45 – The morning tissue indicated it will be one of FOSTERED PHIL / GOLD CLERMONT winning this….and that would still be the case as it’s 10/1 bar that pair. Just a race for watching.

2-20 – The front six on the original tissue are all weak, nothing being supported from that group at all. The one some people fancy to run well is LAWTOP LEGEND – 25/1 > 12/1 – a previous CD winner back in November 2018, that is his only win to date, from 19 previous starts.

Since 2018 his form figures at this track read 2, 4, 2, 1, 5, 3, 4, 4, 4….his form figures elsewhere read 8, 4, 8, 9….based on his Hexham figures you might say he’s a place option and if you look at that play, consider going to four places.

2-55 – the second of my two rated races here and it’s the market I’d use to work a punt, if you really must get involved.

This morning I advised Post Racing subscribed members that ASK PADDINGTON was 13/2 > 9/2….now 4/1….plus, I’m seeing a fair bit going on around PRUSSIA WITH LOVE – 12/1 > 6/1….they are letting everything else drift and the winner most likely comes from that pair of movers.

3-30 – SOME REIGN was the OMM, 11/2 > 7/2 but you can now have 4/1 as money comes for BEAT BOX – 6/1 > 10/3 and I’d suggest a dutch that pair to beat LUCKY FLIGHT, who isn’t weak as such, it just feels like “they” know.

It is a Novice Chase and so much guesswork with regards their ability to jump.

4-05 – A weak Class 5 Novice event which currently has MAMOO 13/2 > 4/1 and the new favourite. The first time tongue-tie on PHANTOM ISLE is seeing that one played to place, 14/1 > 8/1….it’s all about fitness (or lack of it), at this stage of the new season and the market seems to suggest the pair originally heading the tissue will need it, whilst MAMOO, will not.

4-40 – This would be a good race if it was being run next month but right now, I am happy to just keep an eye on what goes on, without having to part with shekels.

The 11 year old EVER SO MUCH is the new favourite, 4/1 > 10/3 and the nly other runner being shown any interest at all is ROLL OF THUNDER, another 11-y-o….10/1 > 15/2

It is going to be a weekend of sitting on our hands if the rain that is expected does arrive but we’ll see what we can do with it all.

Be lucky!
