Might be a day to swerve it all but, here goes!

Newton Abbot has passed an inspection and declared heavy. It is still raining there, it will get worse, they have already (9-56am), had nine horses pulled out and more will follow. I’m not even going to look at that meeting. At this point in a season unfit horses running on that ground is a recipe for disaster.

We will look only at Stratford but be aware, it’s raining there, too. They have omitted the last fence because of work on the track and all in all, with the weather forecast as it is, I’d tread very carefully today.

12-35 – I notified my Post Racing subscribed members this morning of one horse being punted here….it still is attracting support. A huge priced one is moving now, too. ANNIE DAY opened 28/1 and now trades 10/1.

They must be expecting it to get heavy here because that mare won her PTP on heavy and ran well enough on the slop they serve up at Ffos Las a couple of weeks ago.

1-06 – The only horse they want here is the OMM my subscribed membership were advised of this morning. If you are not currently subscribed to a Post Racing package please click here to subscribe.

1-36 – Absolutely everything is on the drift. It’s a Conditional Jockeys’ Selling hurdle….I’d not expect anyone to have a bet here so those drifts….I get them!

2-06 – The first of my two Rated races here. We have a move for the horse sitting fifth best on my numbers and the only CD winner in the field. AINTREE MY DREAM is 6/1 > 7/2 and with my top three rated sitting second, third and fifth favourite, I’ll be a bit stunned if my top five do not supply at least two of the first three home.

I’d be contemplating a four horse dutch is I were playing.

2-36 – The morning OMM is now weak as money comes for ABOVE SUSPICION, 4/1 > 5/2….but the whole thing has a funny feel to it. The favourite, GALICE MACALO, is not at all weak and the horse he beat at Warwick has since bolted in at Hereford last week.

The problem though, is the ground. Only two runs over hurdles to date, both on genuine good ground. If it did go soft/heavy here you’d simply not bother with this race.

3-06 – Olly Murphy horses are always seriously overbet and I still do not get it? He has saddled just four winners from his last 42 runners and all five he sent to Carlisle recently, got stuffed, despite being backed.

He has saddled seven runners in the last two days and three of them pulled up, two of them going off favourite.

If I had to play here it would be a 20/80 WHEN YOU’RE READY at around 4/1, rather than even consider taking the 1/3 they are offering about CHAMPAGNESUPEROVER.

It would not surprise me to see some of those trading big prices punted e.w., too….just watch the market here before betting, if you really must have a punt.

3-36 – The second of my two Rated races and the market is telling me my figures are all wrong. We shall see. I think my top rated will run a big race if he’s fit following 227 days off….but hey, that’s why I do not bet until November!

4-06 – They are asking you to take odds on here, too. A horse that has placed once over hurdles @ 4/5…..really? I’d rather have a 20/80 the morning market mover MOONLIT SEA 12/1 > 8/1….this one has at least placed twice over hurdles!

Best of luck!
