20 races across Hexham, Warwick and Ffos Las assessed and all the clues are there!

Yesterday was light on racing but the lone Rated race provided to Post Racing subscribed members produced the goods and no complaints at this end! We have three meetings to work with today but very light on Rated races and so we’ll need to find where those markets are offering up clues.

12-20 – Strong OMM in the first race on this card and Post Racing members will have probably taken advantage of those fractions this morning.

12-55 – Again, an OMM advised to Post Racing members this morning is still being extremely well supported and it looks the most likely winner.

1-30 – THE GLANCING QUEEN is currently odds on to win on seasonal debut, odds on for her Mares’ Novice Hurdle and whilst she’ll most likely enhance Alan King’s 21% strike rate at this track, I do not play odds on in novice events. If I can get a sniff of evens, then I’ll pop a fiver on.

2-05 – Three runners going to post in this three runner Novices’ Chase….and another odds on shot….I do not bet in three runner events and odds on shots in such a race are manna from heaven for the layers.

2-40 – A Conditional Jockey’s race, and Post Racing members knew of an OMM here that has now been joined by another MMM….STAR OF RORY 13/2 > 5/1. The tissue favourite, ROCK ON TIGER, is rock solid @ 7/2 and I’m going to suggest a three horse dutch, that pair named, plus the OMM.

3-15 – A Novelty race for veterans and they cannot give away the favourite, PRESENT MAN 2/1 > 3/1.

Post Racing subscribed members knew of an OMM here and once again, another has been supported since that Newsletter went out. POTTERS LEGEND, back of a break of 249 days and running first time following a wind-op, is 9/1 > 11/2.

If GOLD PRESENT consents to race this time then the 6/1 is a big price but, factored into that is the stubbornness he displayed when planting himself at the start 10 days ago.

I’ll just have a small 20/80 the OMM but if it losses the impact wouldn’t hurt a fly.

3-50 – The ubiquitous Bumper to conclude and the only horse I can see being nibbled at is MAYHEM MYA 25/1 >12/1. This is a market you would need to watch in the 30 minutes leading up to the off.

12-30 – NADA TO PRADA is a very heavily supported 8/13 favourite and those sitting second and third favourite are not offering any market opposition at all. It is 20/1 bar three. Thing is, this favourite was a beaten favourite recently at Hexham and straight away he was put under the knife to try and improve his wind. It might improve him….the market is certain it has….but if I were betting this race I might just go 20/80 JUST NO RISK, currently 1.88 to two places.

1-05 – The OMM is still seeing support but since that morning Newsletter went out to Post Racing subscribed members DON HERBAGER is 4/1 > 2/1f, being very well supported and clear favourite as I type.

I would now consider a two horse dutch.

1-40 – You are being invited to take odds on in a Maiden Hurdle being run on Ffos Las heavy, MR GREY SKY is 4/5 to take this back to Kim Bailey’s place. One of the front three on the tissue wins this but dutching at current odds produces £12 of profit to £100 staked. Nope, I’m not tempted either.

2-15 – I produced an OMM for the Newsletter this morning and that horse is still being supported so, no problem playing that one 20/80.

Having sat here watching the market for this it is one of three to consider. HILL SIXTEEN drifted from 9/4 > 3/1 but was snapped back into 5/2 before the ink was dry.

BEAN IN TROUBLE, 4/1, 10/3, 4/1, 10/3….they wont let it get bigger.

At this track, on this ground, you need several strong ropes, a safety net, sherpas and a hard hat.

I’d dutch.

2-50 – The OMM has drifted back to it’s starting position on the grid and that is despite the withdrawal of the morning second favourite. I’m now seeing nothing but fluctuations, no strong support for anything and this has become a race I’ll just watch only.

3-25 – Class 5 Handicap Chase and two being supported since my Newsletter hit your inboxes.

  • PLENEY – 8/1 > 5/1
  • WATCHING BRIEF – 14/1 > 6/1

I’ll pop a small two horse dutch up.

4-00 – Post Racing subscribed members knew of an OMM here and they are still piling in. SPEECH BUBBLE 16/1 > 6/1 is another for money this morning and whilst the morning favourite has been taken out, this is money for this pair moving them and nowt to do with fluctuations.

12-45 – The only meeting I have supplied figures for and this is the first of my two rated races. I’m as happy with my figures as I can be with a race rating so lowly and the market is not by any means suggesting they are weak, save for BLASTER YEATS 6/1 > 4/1, who sits seventh best on my figures but who has had only six attempts over hurdles to date and so is unexposed for the purposes of Ratings.

Consider creating a four horse dutch.

1-20 – A Class 5 Novices’ Chase and the market is not saying much of anything right now, other than they do not want the morning tissue favourite, SNOUGAR….15/8 > 5/2

Right now I’d be thinking dutch:

A dutch in such a race is the sensible option anyway and that trio are holding up well on the tissue right now.

1-55 – BLAZING PORT seemingly is home and hosed. He opened 8/15, they have taken every price into 4/11 and the third favourite is 13/2 > 11/1.

The current second favourite, MOROZOV COCKTAIL, is a rock steady 9/2, not budging a fraction. That one though has been missing for 246 days and on both previous starts went off @ 100/1.

I ‘ll happily leave it be.

2-30 – This is probably the best race of the day and my second rated race on this card. My message to Post Racing subscribed members was crystal clear in the morning Newsletter and the song remains the same.

3-05 – Five runner Novices’ Chase, two of which belong to JP McManus and one of those has been punted, FRANCE DE REVE 14/1 > 6/1. First run for Ben Haslam and I’d dutch that one with MIGHTY THUNDER, who is a strong favourite.

3-40 – I offered up two OMM’s here, one of which was a huge early price. That one is now drifting but I’m now seeing money for SAINT JUDE 16/1 > 9/1 and we also have a favourite that is solid on 10/3.

My own play will be a dutch:

Best of luck!
