BTTS and 2.5+ goals

I have been overtaken by events this week as I was supposed to go home to London for Christmas and am now trying to find out exactly what I can do.

Sorry about my putting this up late.

The home side are sitting 8th in the league with Blackburn 11th but just two points separate them.

They have met 13 times previously and Stoke are winning 7-4 just two games ending drawn. Previous games between them have produced an average of 2.38 goals and BTTS has happened 38% of the time but the form of both sides this season indicate a 62% chance of +2.5 and a 56% chance of BTTS.

Away from home Blackburn are conceding 1.33 goals per game and at home Stoke leak an average 1.67. I expect both sides to score. In Blackburn’s last five games BTTS has come about on four occasions.

  • 2.5+ @ 2.16

Burton have no problem scoring goals and they have netted 22 times which is only one fewer than Ipswich who are in 5th place, one spot above Doncaster. They have though, let in 33 and that is why they sit bottom of the league.

Doncaster are joint second highest scorers in the division with 29, only Portsmouth, who are top, scoring more. I expect a really open game here with plenty of goals.

Four of the previous six games between them have ended a draw, with both sides winning one each and in those games they have averaged three goals and bets 50% of the time. Form this season to date suggests 60% chance of 2.5+ and 73% BTTS so I’m happy to bet those.

  • BTTS @1.77
  • 2.5+ @ 1.98
