T’was the Saturday before Christmas, but you can have some presents early!

Because we cover most races during the Podcast and in the subscribers morning Newsletter you are going to find very limited information here and my best advice would be to take out a Post Racing subscription. It works out around 69p per day and if you find better value out there, let me know and I’ll quit here and join you!

To join the growing band of Post Racing members please visit this link, select your preferred package and I’ll make sure you enjoy your racing more than ever.

ASCOT

12-40 – A very competitive Novices’ Handicap Hurdle kicks this card off and they go 5/1 the field in a 12 runner race. If I had to suggest one over the others was a “mover” it would be MORNING SPIRIT 9/1 > 13/2. It has been steady money all morning, the by half a point regularly. I’m happy playing a 20/80.

3-35 – There has been a flood of money this morning for BELFAST BANTER 16/1 > 9/1. This horse is 16TH best on my figures but trying to adapt my way of working to Irish form is impossible and so now the money has come, I would advise introducing this into your dutch….with my top three.

HAYDOCK

11-50 – The Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap and since the morning Newsletter left the building, it is EBONY JEWEL being heavily supported, 10/3 > 2/1 and the new clear favourite. I’ll go straight win.

The morning favourite, TEGEREK, is 2/1 > 10/3 and CHTI BALKO 11/4 > 4/1.

A previous CD winner, this punt looks “kosher”.

NEWCASTLE

12-00 – The OMM has drifted badly since the morning Newsletter went out and all the money now is for DUBAI DAYS 11/2 > 10/3, GET HELP 11/2 > 15/2 and BILLY BATHGATE 11/1 > 8/1.

It is a typical Class 5 event where the market says a lot but invariably delivers little. I’ll not get involved here.

1-05 – AS PER PODCAST

1-40 – My top rated horse seems to have arrived on course minus body parts because the drift is ridiculous. Meanwhile, the two OMM’s are still reasonably strong, with money now also being seen for BALLYHILL 10/1 > 5/1.

I will just have a straight win play my highest rated OMM in this morning’s Newsletter and if Stake Management rules come up trumps, I lose.

2-15 – My second rated race at this track and I’m seeing money here for a horse running for the same connections as that one I’m punting in the race above. I’m not unhappy with my figures here, they look right but this gamble has me scratching my head….GELBOE DE CHANAY 16/1 > 8/1?….is JP looking to have it right off today?

2-50 – AS PER NEWSLETTER

3-25 – Not a fan of betting on Bumper, the exception being at Cheltenham and I can tell you I’m not alone here as not a single horse has been bet….in fact, they are trying to give sweeties away with the front three on the tissue.

A no bet race.

Best of luck!
