Post Racing members will have enjoyed the first day of the season with several lovely winners, two of which were OMM’s winning at 9/4 and 13/2.
For a Saturday we have a horrible day of racing, especially up at Ayr….Sandown does at least offer a couple of competitive affairs….and it’s all very much “after the Lord Mayors parade”….we cannot expect racing such as that we enjoyed during the Christmas period, every day.
12-05 – Five runners going to post, a weak odds on favourite and weirdly, the only horse “moving” is the rag LETTER AT DAWN 50/1 > 20/1….I would not have a bet here to save my life.
12-40 – AS PER PODCAST
1-15 – Down to seven as a pair have come out since my Newsletter was sent earlier this morning. More than happy to work AS PER NEWSLETTER.

3-00 – I’m not now, nor have I ever been, a fan of novelty races and the Veterans’ Series is definitely a novelty kind of event. I’ve no intention of getting involved in races consisting of 15 horses that are aged 11-14 and the fact they go 6/1 the field indicates the layers treat it very much the same way….might just as well have a game of pinata.
3-35 – AS PER NEWSLETTER
12-20 – I doubt anyone reading this will be betting in a race that has a favourite trading 1/7.
12-55 – Probably the worst Class 3 race I’ve seen this season to date. Five runners going to post, they had a 10 year old, REIVERS LAD, that has been missing for 751 days up as tissue favourite….weak as a kitten….5/4 > 7/4 and the original second favourite, VENGEUR DE GUYE is 3/1 > 6/1 and now joint outsider of the field.
The best backed horse, if you could call it that, is SWORD OF FATE 10/1 > 6/1….racing from 3lb out of the handicap proper.
ARD CHROS is in with a squeak but it’s not a race I’ll be involved in finacially.

2-40 – PORTSTORM is the horse for money this morning 6/1 > 9/2 but I’m happy working AS PER NEWSLETTER.
3-15 – The OMM advised this morning is now bigger than the price it originally opened but track and ground wise that one is the right one. AS PER NEWSLETTER.
3-45 – AS PER NEWSLETTER
Best of luck!
