Fakenham only….poor racing but a couple to go to war with!

The New Year has started brilliantly for us and fingers crossed that continue today although, it has to be said, the racing this afternoon is shocking stuff. If they were racing in my back garden, I’d close the curtains.

Hopefully the weather does not make to much of a dent in the racing programme but, it’s not looking great in that regard.

12-25 – The OMM advised in my morning Newsletter is exceptionally strong so AS PER NEWSLETTER

12-55 – Class 5, seven runners, all of them featured on that Attenborough programme they showed on TV last night, wandering the Serengeti.

Collectively, they are 0-28 on the ground, 2-20 trip and the only horse that has attempted to win at Fakenham before is 0-6 over fences, finished a 26 length second here in 2018 and currently trades favourite.

If you do feel the need to have a bet in this race, you are most definitely “guessing” when it comes to making a decision as to which yak you punt.

1-25 – I advised in my morning Newsletter that we had a BRF….no longer! That horse is now 3/1 > 5/1….and that also in light of the fact they have pulled out one….my figures/OMM are what should do the business here.

1-55 – Another Class 5….collectively 1-29 ground (MISS ZIP), 2-28 trip (both wins achieved by MISS ZIP), and none has winning course form. MISS ZIP is currently the 3/1 > 5/2 favourite and I’ll suggest a dutch that one plus the OMM Post Racing members were advised of before 7-00am this morning.

2-55 – Class 5 Amateur and Conditional Jockeys’ event. Eight going to post, and at least half the field has winning form on the ground in this one! Having said that the horse they have put in as clear favourite, LOVE THE LEADER, is a 13 year old, currently 0-6 on the surface they will race on today, has never even attempted the trip, or the track, and last won in October 2019. which was his first win since November 2018.

Akin to playing Russian Roulette and I’m offski!

3-25 – Class 5 Bumper to conclude and if I had the results page of tomorrow’s newspaper I’d still not be betting here!

We may have a blank day tomorrow if Ludlow fails another inspection and, as Ayr has gone on Wednesday, that leaves just two all weather meetings to faff about with….not for me so, we have do a blank one Wednesday!

Best of luck!
