Wolverhampton Wanderers v Everton

The Christmas period is a time when I stop betting because the number of games being played is crazy. I heard the other day that Spurs have 1 game every four days between now and May. Someone needs a kick up the backside for that.

With games now also being postponed because of positive tests for Corona I imagine it will be all up in the air as to who plays when, or not, as the case may be.

I promised Ron I would work on games this season and to be fair it has not gone badly so far but am I betting with the same confidence I would have usually. No chance.

Wolves are missing Jiminez, no doubt about it and have only won 1 of the 7 games played since they lost him. They are also struggling at the back too and have not kept a clean sheet in the last 10 league games.

Everton are playing really well away from home this season and have won 5 of the 8 on the road and if they win tonight that will be 3 wins away on the bounce and they have not done that for 13 years.

Wolves have not managed a win in their last 4 games, 2 draws and 2 defeats and weirdly Traore has not managed to score a goal or set one up in his last 24 league games. I’m thinking he has mentally left Wolves.

When Wolves play Everton though they seem to be up for it and last season they won this fixture 3-0. They have also won 2 and drawn three of the previous 6 games at home to Everton.

Then again, Everton have not lost 2 games on the bounce at Molineux since 1979

They don’t have Calvert-Lewin up front tonight but that might just free up Richarlison, who loves playing against Wolves and has scored 4 goals in 4 games against Wolves so he might be worth a “goal at any time” bet. He is to have a late fitness test but we cannot wait for that.

I reckon that given the time of year and both sides having injuries they’ll both be happy with a draw but as Wolves have not kept a clean sheet in those last 10 games I’ll say a score draw.

  • DRAW @ 3.15
  • 1-1 @ 6.8
