Musselburgh Movers

The meeting goes ahead, it’s officially soft all over, a balmy four degrees and that has enticed punters in. I personally will not be betting for a good few days as I’m not prepared to guess at what is going on…or going to go on! I’m certainly not going to prepare figures until I’m confident we can work with them and, right now, I’d be anything but confident.

I’m seeing the following:

12-50 – The morning second favourite has been pulled out and so merely market adjustments here.

1-20 – A Class 5 Novices’ Hurdle and it’s BROADWAY JOE 33/1 > 12/1 that has caught fire. Racing second time following a wind op and having just its seventh race under rules, anything could happen but it’ll be happening without my cash riding on it.

1-55 – Four non-runners….nothing to see here bar market adjustments.

2-25 – This would have been a rated race and I’m pretty pleased I’ve not had to do it because many of these are completely unexposed and a second favourite returning from an absence of 4-5 days, having just its fifth lifetime run….and nothing is being supported.

3-00 – Four more non-runners….it’s been the story of this week. We have obviously seen market adjustments but I’m also seeing support for RED REMINDER 12/1 > 7/1 and, ARTIC MANN is by no means a weak favourite 7/2 > 11/4….this would have been my other rated race from this track and with those four doing a runner, it would have been a “re-write”….or binning!

3-30 – Another Class5….but a proper market mover in NOT THE CHABLIS….11/4 > 15/8. This looks “proper”.

4-05 – The Bumper and the runners for money are SUPREME YEATS 10/1 > 5/1, UPANDATIT 20/1 > 12/1

We do have three non-runners here but these are not market adjustments.

Most definitely not a day I wish to do anything with bar the Podcast and that’ll be ready for you early this evening.

Have a great day!
