A little bit of joy yesterday with two of the three horses named winning at 2/1 & 15/8, producing a profit for those of you betting for fun….which will be 99% of you. It makes it even more fun when you back a winner and every day I and everyone working on your behalf, will try to find those for you, be it racing, football, golf etc….but please, only bet what you can afford to lose.
At the same time as offering you up betting advice (never tips), I want the new website at The World Of Sport to give you some terrific articles to read and I have asked the lads already lined up over there, to do that from July 1st.
I have had a look around the off meetings today, just a couple of meetings on turf, two on all weather tracks, and come up with the following.
At Ripon I’m interested in HARD SOLUTION (3-25). It is a big field Class 6 and not much comes worse in racing but this horse is now on a hat-trick and will be ridden by Sean Kirrane, who rides this track well. Three winners from eight rides suggests that, anyway. Those three wins have all come for the trainer of HARD SOLUTION, David O’Meara and with this horse due to go up 2lb shortly, they’ll be looking for that third successive win this afternoon. Interestingly, he has beaten the same horse twice when gaining those wins, STRONSAY, who won a Class 5 yesterday.
I most likely will never be a fan of Ffos Las as it produces form that never travels but I’m thinking Gavin Sheehan, going for just the one ride on FLORAL BOUQUET, might leave with a winner. He has his own superb 39% strike rate at Ffos Las (13-33), and is 5-8 for the trainer of that horse at this track. The trainer, Jamie Snowden, saddles the front two on the tissue but it’s this one I feel is most likely to be winning.
Nowt grabs me at Chelmsford but at Lingfield I’m having my eye drawn to AMLWCH (7-40). Another lovely Class 6 but it’s again the trainer/jockey combo that suggests this might be “off” as he’s making handicap debut today, and running on sand for the first time. Kieran Shoemark has a decent 26% strike rate for Charles Hills here and is top jockey riding at the track this evening. Someone seems to be thinking the same as me because it’s 12/1 > 7/1!
Three e.w. doubles and an e.w. treble?
