For The Fun Punters! 07/07/21

A couple of Placepot perms, the name of horses I’d suggest are “of interest” and a bit of fun for the exotic players.

When Danny Tudhope gets the call to ride a Haggas runner at Haydock, the nose twitches, the feet start tapping and I am looking to the markets for new it is off.

NUANCE (Haydock 2-45), has been fluctuating since the markets first opened 4/1 > 10/3 > 5/1….now a steady 9/2. That is because of concerted punt on TRIPLE TIME and I’d be inclined to have a little 20/80….and….or….a pop at the CSF.

I was seeing one at Yarmouth I liked but the trainer has pulled it out and at Epsom we see proof of just how badly the jockey pool is stretched as a result of Covid restrictions. Only four jockeys riding there this evening have ridden more than two winners at the track, in the last five years.

You have to wait until the last race on the card for a horse I’m thinking might be worth a little e.w. bet, DARK MOTIVE.

Rossa Ryan has a good few rides for Hannon there tonight but it’s this one, trained by Ralph Beckett, that interests me. Owned by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall (not that that will make this Class 6 animal run faster….it hasn’t so far!), it is a very lightly raced horse, seemingly improving with racing. Tonight is just it’s fourth run on turf and it’s interesting Beckett has booked Ryan, who won on the only other ride the trainer has given this rider, at Epsom.

Rossa Ryan also has a very nice 2-6 strike rate at the track and at 13/2 currently on offer, looks a 20/80 at the very least.

Best of luck today and if win a few quid, buy yourself a ticket in our brilliant raffle, which is in aid of any charity you wish to support.
