One leg away from a decent Placepot dividend last night….them’s the breaks.
I’m thinking we only have to get five legs right at Hamilton because the first race looks a “gimme” for the 1/6 favourite in a three horse race (seen those go belly up!), so I’ll kick off with that:
- LEG 1 – 3
- LEG 2 – 1, 3
- LEG 3 – 4, 6
- LEG 4 – 3
- LEG 5 – 8
- LEG 6 – 4, 6
I have three strong movers today and e.w. doubles and an e.w. treble might produce something:
- MIKMAK (Hamilton 2-30)
- ROYAL GUARD (Leicester 4-23)
- CAPTAIN SQUARE (Epsom 6-45)
Jim Crowley has only ridden six times for William Haggas at Leicester and they came away with three winners. They team up with two tonight MAHRAJAAN in the 3-23 and MARAAKIZ in the 3-53. The second named is most interesting because Haggas has a lovely 6-13 record with 3-y-o handicappers at this track. The market doesn’t like it 6/1 > 11/1 but it might reward a place only play.
At Chepstow Rossa Ryan rides two for Grace Jones…not the scarey singer, the trainer. The first is a previous course winner TALLY’S SON (2-10), currently 66/1 and a no-hoper but, they also team up with HAVANA SUNSET in the 2-40, and whilst this too is now drifting (5/1 > 9/1, it’s interesting that Ryan has a 30% strike rate here, for this trainer so another to co0nsider place only.
Nothing is catching my eye at Hamilton or Epsom and so we’ll just wait until the proper racing starts tomorrow.
Best of luck!
