Something new I’m looking at introducing for those subscribed to a Donators package.
Every day whilst looking out for horses that are fancied to run well and money moving them in the markets, is those that opened up short and are relatively weak.
I thought we’d start this experiment with a look at the evening meetings today at both Doncaster and Newbury. What we may also see are the reasons why those shorties are being allowed to get bigger.
6-50 – ARATUS opened up the 4/5 favourite last night but as the day has gone on, I’ve seen him drifting out…5/6, 10/11 > and now you can have Evens about him as sustained support is seen for GOOD HUMOR 11/4 > 7/4.
This has been a good race for favourites and 3-y-o’s. Just three previous running’s all won by the jolly and the last two by the younger horses.
Right now the experiment advises lay ARATUS, play GOOD HUMOR.
7-50 – TREGONY opened up the 11/8 favourite last night, with GRANTLEY 2/1. The money has been dripping onto GRANTLEY and they have “flip flopped”, now 11/8 GRANTLEY, with TREGONY 15/8.
LAY – TREGONY, PLAY – GRANTLEY
Interesting that both the drifters here are trained by Clive Cox, whose last 10 runners have yielded just one winner.
7-05 – Looks a two horse race and again we’ve seen those front pair flip-flop during the day.
CLAY opened up the 6/4 favourite, with MIRAMICHI 9/4….now it’s 2/1 CLAY, and 6/4 MIRAMICHI.
The new favourite is on a hat-trick, whilst CLAY has been gelded since its last run and makes handicap debut this evening.
I felt the betting would tell a tale here and it is suggesting the Hannon horse will struggle to beat Dascombe’s hat-tricj seeker
LAY – CLAY, PLAY – MIRAMICHI
There are never going to be many of this type of play each day and I’ll monitor how these go.
