For The Fun Punters! 29/09/21

I reckon that if I can nail the Nottingham Placepot, it might pay a few quid so we’ll look to work a perm utilising at least two bankers, to keep the numbers down and then it’ll be a case of crossing the lot because the first four races consist of 2-y-o’s, lightly race or unraced and this is going to be a bit like spitting into a wind!

We will need to trust the markets in those races but even connections will be guessing as to what will happen when some of these get to a racecourse for the very first time.

  • LEG 1 – 11, 12
  • LEG 2 – 5, 13
  • LEG 3 – 3, 15
  • LEG 4 – 3
  • LEG 5 – 4, 9
  • LEG 6 – 7

Two of my top rated horses today are also hot on trainer and jockey trends with William Haggas having a superb 30% strike rate with 3-y-o’s at Nottingham and saddling WINK OF AN EYE in the 3-30pm event there this afternoon.

Ben Curtis and Ian Williams have an amazing 75% strike rate when joining forces at Catterick and my top rated in the 4-50pm race there, LIBERATED LAD represents them.

This horse has improved for cheekpieces finishing first and second on his last two racecourse appearances. He beat what appears to be his main rival this afternoon, BARENBOIM, by two lengths and was only done a short head next time out.

At Bangor (and this is me taking a flyer), I’m interested in MR TRISTAR, who runs in the Bumper at 4-10pm. This horse represents Nigel Twiston-Davies who has sent only 11 such types there in the last five seasons, winning with three of them. He’s currently around the 12/1 mark and whilst the winner most probably comes from one of AT POETS CROSS / SURTITLE, the last named 7/2 > 9/4 this morning, I’d have a little place only punt three places.

I’ll not be as “serious” about these as I will be in a couple of weeks time, when they will be in Newsletters and only accessed by Donators on the website but I’m happy to post up these as “sighters” until then:

  • BANGOR 1-00 – LOST IN MONTMARTRE – 11/2 > 6/4
  • BANGOR 2-40 – HILL OF HOPE – 16/1 > 7/1
  • BANGOR – 4-10 – SURTITLE – 7/2 > 9/4

A little e.w. Patent might produce a profit?

Keep your punting fun, don’t expect to win and so when it happens, it’s a nice bonus.
