Premiership betting advice – West Ham v Newcastle – 19/02/22

I very rarely bet on the Prem after we’ve had midweek European games but I’ve looked at every game taking place on Saturday and come up with the a couple of bets I’m placing myself. Some of the posts are free to access, some are not. This one is, obviously, or you wouldn’t be reading unless you has a subscription.

The away side are now in some rare form and moved 4 points away from the relegation zone. If they win tomorrow they’ll have won 3 on the bounce away to the Hammers. They have won 3 of the 4 games they have played at the London Stadium, and they have never won as many games away from home against a single team, as they have against West Ham.

They have beaten them 10 times on the road and that’s proper bogey team stuff.

I don’t think West Ham are playing as well as they were early doors and the stats tell us that is true because they won 7 of their first 11 games but have only won 5 of their last 14 and as well as being West Ham’s bogey team, they are also Moyes’s bogey team. He has lost the last 3 games he has sent out teams to play Newcastle and the new Newcastle centre forward, Woods, has scored 7 goals in 9 games against the Hammers, too.

A lot of Newcastles wins lately have come because Tierney has been playing well but he has broken a foot and won’t play again this season.

The odds on offer for a Newcastle win are very tempting @ 4/1 and the stats suggest the odds should be much tighter. West Ham struggled to beat Watford, winning 1-0 at home, then needing an added time equaliser to get a draw at Leicester.

If I bet this game, I’d brave and go Newcastle @ 4/1

They do have to keep Bowen quiet and he’s on fire at the minute, scoring 7 and setting up 1 of West Hams last 10 goals in all competitions so shut him up and yopu’ve got a chance here.
