Premier League betting advice – 23/02/22

I keep repeating myself but I really cannot make head or tail of this season. It has been crazy. At half-time the other day Ron texted me asking if he should tell you to cash out but I never cash out. I have a bet and that’s it.

We are seeing no consistency from any side outside the top 3, and so that makes betting on the other games a bit like playing hopscotch on a minefield.

I will say what I thing should happen and then we’ll see what happens.

I didn’t see Burnley going to Brighton and winning 3-0. That was their first win in any competition, in 12 games. The 3 they got then was as many goals as they had scored in their previous 9 games so you tell me how that happened.

In Weghorst they have a proper poacher. His last 83 league goals have all come when he is inside the penalty area.

Burnley have only won 1 games at home in their last 20 and Spurs have only lost 1 of the last 20 games against teams in the relegation zone when they played them. Spurs must be wondering what their own pitch looks like as 6 of their last 7 games now have been on the road and I say again, this year things are just weird.

You would think a team that has gone to City and scored 3, winning in the process, would be banker bets to win at Burnley but they are as inconsistent as any side from 4th down in the league. Having said that Burnley have only won 1 of the last 12 league games between these 2 teams and Spurs have only failed to score in 1 of the last 14 games against tonight’s home side.

Harry Kane loves playing Burnley. In his last 6 games against them he has scored 7 goals and set up 3.

  • SPURS TO WIN 2-0 @ 7/1
  • SPURS TO WIN 3-0 @ 13/1

If you can tell me how Spurs pulled it off at City, you’ll be able to tell me how Watford went to Villa to win? When they won that match, they got their first win in 12 league games and their first goal in 5 games.

Palace have only bagged 2 wins in their last 14 games and have now not won in 6 so I’m thinking it has to be a draw and likely 0-0 but this is the side that also went to City and won 2-0?

If it is 0-0 then Watford will stop the rot. They recently wqualled the league record for the number of bhome games without keeping a clean sheet, 17.

Neither of the sides has managed to get a goal in the first half of any game they’ve played this year so 0-0 at half time should be a bet!

I’m in real danger of getting my head cabbaged here and I’ll have just one bet

I’ll be in the ground tonight and expect an easy 3 points against a team that cannot keep a clean sheet for toffee. They have let in 3 or more goals in their last 3 games, lost 6 of their last 9 games and in the 2020-2021 season they let in a total of 46 goals and this season already they have let in 50 so teams have sussed out how to play their back 4. They have also lost 9 of the last 12 games they have played against teams in the top half of the league this season and only won 1.

Liverpool are now unbeaten in 16 straight home league games winning the last 7 by an aggregate of 20-2 and we’ve only conceeded 7 goals at home all season.

If we do not lose tonight Van Dijk will equal the record of 59 home games without getting beaten.

It’s just a case of how many and as I never bet on my own team I don’t mind if it’s 1 goal, or 10 but I think the 10/11 Liverpool to win and 3.5 goals is ok. Liverpool averages over 3 goals per game at home against Leeds.
