Got scuppered by a 96th minute goal the other day and I’m looking at four games today, that will give us a run for our money.
MILLWALL V SHEFF UTD
No team is in better form in the Championship right now, that Sheff Utd. The last six games have brought four wins and two draws and if the league had only started six games ago, they would be top.
Millwall though are also playing very well and in that same table, they would be sitting third. Won four, drawn one, lost one. They are unbeaten in their last four at home, too.
On the road Sheff Utd have been very hard to beat and arrive unbeaten in their last four so I see a very even game, probably a draw, probably 1-1 as neither team are banging in loads of goals and it’s been all about defences being on top.
BTTS/DRAW @ 7/2
CARDIFF CITY V FULHAM
Fulham have been flying all season but the home side here are playing well themselves. They have won three of their last four games, have scored in each of the last four games on home soil, and whilst I do expect Fulham to come away with the win, I also see both side hitting the back of the net.
Fulham are unbeaten in their last eight away from Craven Cottage and they spend so much of their time attacking, they do leave the back door open. They have conceeded in three of their last five games and they have resulted in BTTS.
BTTS/AWAY @ 13/5
BIRMINGHAM V HUDDERSFIELD
If Birmingham had a defence they would be much higher up the league than they are. They have scored in each of their last 10 games at home and their last 11 games in total.
Huddersfield scuppered my bet the other night with that late, late goal and that moved them into joint third spot, only behind QPR on goal difference.
Four of the last five games Birmingham have played have ended BTTS and the last 14 games involving Hudersfield has resulted in two or more goals being scored.
Huddersfield will not want any slip ups today given they need to keep winning and if they don’t choke, I’ll have them outscoring the home side.
BTTS/AWAY @ 5/1
LUTON TOWN V DERBY COUNTY
Last of my four games and for me, a home win. Luton are tanking along at the moment, sitting fourth in that league table of the last six games. Won four, drawn one, lost one.
Derby are sitting 13th in that league having performed that miracle I mentioned last time. They could find the effort now starts to catch up with them and I’m expecting Luton to win but, Derby will give it a go and I’ll back them to get one goal at least but Luton to beat them 2-1.
Luton are now unbeaten in six and are just two points off the play off places so plenty to play for whilst Derby will be giving it everything to edge away from the drop, having done brilliantly to get anywhere near that position, given the number of points they have had deducted.
BTTS/HOME @ 7/2
