The Saturday BTTS/RESULTS Accas – 26/03/22

I have been asked to point out again that you can work with the selections any way you like. I’m not saying you only put on a BTTS/RESULTS acca alone. I said getting that up is like winning the lottery.

By all means take a shot at it because it’s a fun punters dream bet when it lands.

The games I have chosen for this weekend are Ipswich v Plymouth, AFC Wimbledon v Cambridge Utd, Crawley Town v Rochdale, Bradford City v Newport County.

The first of those games looks a cracker. Ipswich are on a real roll at the moment, unbeaten in their last 10, whilst Plymouth arrives having won their last five games. They have averaged two goals per game in those five games so Ipswich will have their superb run of home form properly tested this afternoon. They have gone nine straight on their own ground without losing.

The last time these two sides met at Portman Road it was Plymouth who took the points with a 2-0 win. Head to head form suggests it’s going to be very tight. They have met seven times previously, Ipswich are currently 3-2 up, with the other two being drawn games and the form of these two side right now suggests another draw.

At home Ipswich have averaged 1.63 goals per game, while Plymouth, when they travel, have an average of 1.84 goals per game so definitely a tight game.

I’m going to say this will end 1-1

  • BTTS @ 9/10
  • DRAW @ 13/5
  • BTTS/DRAW @ 10/3

Both teams are struggling for form at the moment and in their last five games have both had just one draw and four defeats. The home side has far more incentive not to get beaten today as they are just one point from safety, whilst Cambridge are safe, 12 points above the relegation zone and nothing like as much to play for.

I see that 20 of Wimbledon’s 38 games this season have resulted in BTTS, and it’s 19 of 38 for Cambridge so around a 50% chance it’ll happen again today.

These two sides have only met three times previously and it’s currently 2-1 to Cambridge and the games between these two sides have produced BTTS 67% of the time, with an average of three goals per match so I’m very much thinking 2-1 to Wimbledon today.

  • BTTS @ 20/23
  • HOME WIN @ 21/20
  • BTTS/HOME @ 7/2

Let’s just say, not the best defences in the world. The home side has now produced BTTS in four of their last five games and 21 of Rochdale’s 36 games this season has resulted in BTTS, which is why you’ll only get 8/11 for that portion of this bet.

Crawley have actually produced BTTS in 70% of all games this season and it looks a banker bet.

Last time they met Rochdale gave Crawley a 4-0 thumping on their own pitch but right now the league table tells us that Crawley are the better side right now, six places and eight points better than their northern visitors this afternoon.

The two sides have only met three times previously and it’s 2-1 to Rochdale and those three games have seen an average of 3.33 goals per game.

In all home games this season Crawley have averaged 1.26 points per game, with Rochdale just 0.95 points per game on the road so I see a home win, 2-1 or 3-1.

  • BTTS @ 8/11
  • HOME WIN @ 13/8
  • BTTS/RESULT @ 4/1

A very important game for Newport who sit sixth in the table and clinging on to a play off place by their finger nails. By contrast Bradford are in mid table obscurity safe as houses from the relegation places and no chance of getting the points needed to hit a play off place so all down to attitude really.

Head to head form suggests the away team have the upperhand here. They have met each other five times and it’s 3-1 to Newport, one game ending in a draw.

The last seven games involving Bradford has seen two or more goals being scored and Newport have scored eight goals in their last five games and, they have scored in each of their last eight matches so goal shy, they are not.

BTTS has landed in three of Newport’s last five matches, too, and also in two of Bradford’s last five games. In 23 of Bradford’s 38 matches played this season, BTTS has come good, and 58% of all Newports games have done likewise.

I do fancy Newport to win and BTTS.

  • BTTS @ 20/23
  • AWAY WIN @ 13/8
  • BTTS/AWAY @ 4/1

The BTTS/RESULT ACCA pays 487/1 at the prices I have available to me right now so worth a £10 note but you can simply work with the BTTS, or the results, do doubles, trebles, mix and match. Loads of options open to you.
