Great racing at York today and I imagine I’ll say that a few times this year.
Definitely a meeting to consider getting involved in Placepots because they’ll be decent sized pots and if we can spot a horse that is left field and not on many punters radars, that we can get into the frame, we might just land a decent dividend.
I’m looking to the markets and my figures for clues….primarily the market though as these days nothing talks louder than they do.
- LEG 1 – GAASSEE (8), FORZA ORTA (11)
- LEG 2 – NOMADIC EMPIRE (2), COUNT D’ORSAY (11), ABERAMA GOLD (17)
- LEG 3 – DRAGON SYMBOL (2)
- LEG 4 – EMILY UPJOHN (2)
- LEG 5 – MOJOMAKER (3), THE COOKSTOWN CAFU (8)
- LEG 6 – HIGHWAYGREY (6), OBSIDIAN KNIGHT (12)
I like Perth and whilst I’m not a fan of NH racing at this time of year it is my favourite of the two codes and I do keep an eye on what’s going on.
Gordon Elliott has sent over ENKE FLACKE (5-40), and the market is suggesting it’s off and will be winning, 6/4 > E. You could dutch with HOGAN and achieve a 33% profit on that play.
At 6-40pm they don’t want GOAST DANCER, opened 4/1, now 9/1 but they do want to be with the Nicky Richards runner RELEASE THE KRAKEN….11/4 > 9/4 and strong.
An outsider in that race attracting some bites is BRANDY MCQUEEN but that looks place money 14/1 > 9/1.
SEEMINGLY SO is a very weak favourite in the 7-10pm race 2/1 > 10/3 and the pair for cash would seem to be LOUGHERMORE 8/1 > 11/2 and GUN MERCHANT 11/1 > 7/1 but fluctuating. Brian Hughes rides MONSIEUR CO here and he’s rock solid @ 6/1….perhaps a dutch that three against the jolly will prove profitable.
Hughes is on board a very well supported PAMMI in the 7-40 – 9/2 > 11/4, just DON BROCCO standing up to him on the tissue right now but more fluctuating than moving.
